Q: What is trailer payload?
A: Payload is the maximum amount of weight that you can load in/on the trailer without exceeding the GVWR. The payload is calculated by subtracting the curb weight of the trailer from the GVWR. Example: The model C6.5×14 2000 has a GVWR of 6000# and the curb weight of the trailer is 1460#, when subtracted you get the payload of 4540#.

Q: What is the curb weight?

A: The curb weight is the gross weight of a standard model trailer excluding upgrades, accessories, or cargo.

Q: What does GVWR stand for?

A: The GVWR is the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. This is the maximum allowable weight of the trailer and cargo combined.

Q: Can I add larger axles to increase my payload and GVWR?

A: Yes. On certain models you can add larger axles to increase payload and GVWR.

Q: How large of a trailer can my vehicle haul?
A: Before purchasing a trailer, you should consult your owner’s manual to verify your vehicle’s maximum towing capacity.

Q: What kind of plugs do you use on your trailers?

A: We use both a 4-way “flat” plug and a 7-way “round” plug. 4-way connectors are used when a trailer features axles without brakes, as is standard on most of our open model trailers and our smaller enclosed units. The 7-way round plug is utilized only when trailers have braked axles. Please consult individual model specifications to determine which style plug is used on each model.

Q: What’s the standard ball size?
A: The standard ball size on all of our trailers is 2″ in diameter. Car Haulers, Goosenecks and Heavy-Duty Utility trailers are an exception, as they come standard with a 2 5/16″ ball.

Q: How much air pressure should I run in my tires?

A: Recommended tire pressure is clearly labeled on all tires, and should be routinely checked before and after trailer use
